MUSIC (MAKES THE PEOPLE COME TOGETHER)
Too often, when some of the life's unavoidable crapness takes over and things get out of control, we turn to music to help make sense of the madness. In dealing with cancer, this is no exception. It was founder Matthew Zachary's vision to incorporate music into the madness and then pass that down as an integral component to i[2]y. As such, we are innovating music advocacy through our compilation CDs, arts projects, planned concerts and forthcoming national tours with the vision to create, connect and unite young adult affected by cancer through the common thread of this universal language. It is our goal to harness the power of music to embody what it means to be a young adult affected by cancer. Whether you're an artist, composer, singer/songerwriter or just an impassioned fan (besides, everyone plays the radio! HAR!), we want to empower and inspire you to get busy living with, through and beyond your diagnosis. It's all about community (oh, wait this is the music section.)
So, if you're an artist, painter, musician, photographer, author, poet, dancer, champion blogger, writer, essayist, public speaker, chef, architect or anything like that, tell us about yourself. For starters, we'll add your blog to our stupid cancer blogosophere, consider your tunes for our next compilation CD project and work with you on how best the art of your survivorship can be used to help other young adults. |
